Infant Nutrition
The majority of my career has been spent managing nutrition support for premature, high risk and term infants.  I have experience with infants who fail to thrive related but not limited to: undernutrition/malnutrition, cardiac disease, short bowel syndrome, Down's Syndrome, Cleft Lip/Palate, cow milk protein allergy, post discharge nutrition for premature infants, infants/toddlers/children dependent on tube feedings and/or TPN (IV nutrition).
Consulting
As a clinical dietitian I see patients in the acute (hospital)setting.  Above and beyond my 40 hour work week, my desire is to promote breastfeeding and a healthy lifestyle to the Houston community.  I embrace the opportunity to support/help moms with lactation and nutrition education.  Promoting breastfeeding and nutrition in the community environment affords me the chance to work with infants, toddlers, adolescents and their families and watch as they progress!  Something you don't see in the hospital.
